We have a small flock of Jacob and Texel cross sheep on the farm. The Jacob is an ancient heirloom breed. These sheep are hardy and the ewes are excellent mothers. Our Purebred Jacob has two horns, others can have up to four or six!
The rest of the sheep are Texel crosses. The cross breed produces a hardy sheep with excellent meat qualities. Two of our ewes have the Booroola Gene. The ewes that carry this gene will consistanty produce twins. A valuable asset to any sheep producer.
Due to the size of our flock we will have a limited supply of lamb availiable in the Spring of 2012. Contact us for more information and to reserve your freezer order!
On September 27,2012 our ewe Wilma gave birth to three healthy baby girls! Wilma has the Boorola gene which garuntees twins at conception – triplets is even more fantastic! She is a great mother and so far is having no trouble caring for all three!
