Our chickens provide the background noise to our barnyard.  They are as consistant as gravity and everyday they leave their eggs for us in a nesting box. Our flock of chickens is free range which means they are given space to wonder, socialize, and forage. We also provide roosts that allow them to get off the ground to sleep at night.

Our agricultural endevours began with a small flock of laying hens whose eggs we used ourselves or sold to friends and family. This part of our business has grown immensly, and now most of our eggs are purchased by one resturant owner who’s chef uses our eggs in their Sunday morning brunch.

Like the rest of our livestock, we believe in happy, healthy chickens. We also want to raise them in a socialy responsible way. Many visitors to our farm love to listen to the clucks and other sounds these birds make. Our rooster too, makes a loud, traditional ‘Cock-a-doo-dle-do’ on a regular basis! Our rooster is rather famous, he is featured on the Winter 2012 Edition of Lush Magazine.
